 Found Lots of Shrooms!

There are a lot of shrooms. Any ideas if any are an active species. I found some pretty cool looking ones.

No actives. You should be looking for pluteus salicinus in the woods this time of year, active gymnopilus in the fall. Research Psilocybe Ovoideocystidiata, it may be a bit late for it this year, but you can always look. Subbs if you don't want to hunt woods, look in manure piles and very well maintained lawns.

#7. has potential to be an active Pluteus sp. Give us more information on it. What color were the gills? Did you pick it and were there any bruises on the stem near the base or above? Did you make a spore print? What size were they?
#11. is a Chanterelle, Cantharellus cibarius, a delicious edible.

I was thinking that too, but the cap looks a bit too olive. Looks like the gills are white which means not pluteus, usually they are pink when they are that big. Just found another one out at the patch, got a long stem, about 4.5 inches  , and the first inch is near midnight blue, going to dose with another dried specimen in a little.

lol i forgot to enlarge the pics, so i looked at number 7 and didnt even see a mushroom, just the tree...

There are cap color variations in Pluteus as there are in many species. The cespitose feature makes it more doubtful than the gill color. These look fairly immature if they are Pluteus, meaning the gills could well be white.
You are correct though. There is some doubts, which is why I want more information.
If you found more Pluteus please post pics if you took them. I am studying the active Pluts and need as much info as I can get (primarily pics). I'm going on a hunt shortly to a log that grows them.

lol, sorry Hongos, I didn't think to actually count the pic numbers, and I thought you meant #10. As for #7, yes, you may have a few pluteus there, not all of them, as I have never seen them grow in clumps. However, I'm pretty sure that the one with the stem being visible is a pluteus. As for pics of the ones I found, sorry Hongos, no batteries for the camera.

But seriously, the odds of just walking out and stumbling upon an active mush are very slim. If your just taking every mushroom you find and putting pictures up, and asking people if they are active you will probably never find any. Not to mention none of them will get properly IDed because a picture usually just isnt enough.
The shrooms come to those who work for them. Do some reading and try again.

I didn't pick it but I am going back to the park tonight. (so if I see it, I will) Some of the gills appeared to be brown and some white. I only took a glance. They were about 2-4 inches tall. The caps were sizes from a dime to almost a quarter.

#3 is some sort of amanita, #14 looks like something in one of the boletes genera and #15 is interesting; I don't recognize the species, but it looks like something related to chanterelles, possibly a craterellus or something in that direction.
Congrats on the chanterelle, it sure looks delicious, try to find more!

There is no way for us to tell from the pic. Blue bruising on the base of the stem is the main thing to look for.
