Walking and foraging through the woods on weilii is wonderful so many different mycoflushes out here now. Double "V's" are Wavy. Awesome photos, i can feel the power just looking at that mycoporn.Much thank you's to everyone.

appreciate it...isnt the season for weilii suppose to be more toward the late summer/early fall? my buddies who introduced to me to this georgia growing fungus were very surprised i found them so early. they usually begin to see them around late august to mid-september. thanks for your assistance weiliiiiii

NO there is a spring weilii season as well, i found my first ones in may of this year and usually find them up till December.

ok. another question...the last 2 finds have come from a backyard. it is a fescue lawn in a fairly shaded area. the neighbors around him all have the same environment, but no weilii. i would have thought that the weilii spore distribution would be around more in that subdivision as opposed to being isolated in the one backyard. would you think they would be more prevalent?

The first place i found weilii was in a neighborhood and i found them at a house in the front of the place, but not in any of the houses next to the one i found them at. As i searched the place over i found them throughout the neighborhood so it wouldn't hurt to check the whole place. Look in all the places that get good shade.
This is why its good to not pick all that you find, so that they can drop spores and spread.

And this one, this spot is located in the back of my neighbors yard. She has a ton of dogs and allowed me to pick the "dangerous" shrooms as she calls them, so her dogs wont eat them. I told her its a service i dont mind doing;)...wouldn't want anything to happen to her pooches.
