Gustav is nowhere near here. We're getting our own hurricane. It's going to hit SC and the remnants are going to float on over GA.

Ive never heard of weilii in NC, but i wouldnt doubt it, the US is filled with endemic woodlovers found in the forest, from caeurlipes to oleavisceans to weilii, there seems to be a woodloving psilocybe almost in every state.

Why some rice farmers -- some rice eaters ran him out of Korea. Yes, they ran him out of Korea. Rice eaters with nothing but gym shoes, and a rifle, and a bowl of rice took him and his tanks and his napalm, and all that other action he's supposed to have and ran him across the Yalu. Why? 'Cause the day that he can win on the ground has passed.

Nice finds.....but i really dont think that was a weilii...it had a thick slimy coating..and the gills ran down along the stem...ive found one before just like it...they tend to grow..a few feet from my patch in the moss..

Its certainly a weilii, When you pick as long as i have you dont make mistakes. The bottom picture, i assume is what you are talking about.

These two are the same mushroom, the picture was taken at a different angle.

BTW red crayon..im not sure what Ive done to you..but whatever it is..i don't think it deserves the rating you've given me..i would really appreciate it if you changed it...theres really no need for name calling

You're gonna have to do something pretty saintly to change that.

But anyhow im bout to upload a ton more pics from todays hunt.
