Hi dickenz07,
Psilocybe aucklandii is a lignicolous Psilocybe species that belongs in the section Zapotecorum, it has only been recorded from Auckland, New Zealand under Leptospermum scoparium, Dacrydium cupressinum and in Pinus radiata plantations fruiting from dark red clay and leaf litter, I suspect the species to be more widespread around New Zealand, north and south of Auckland, especially on the west coast!
Psilocybe aucklandii is supposedly very similar to P. zapotecorum and differs only slightly when comparing microscopic features!
I have seen them! infact the first Psilocybe species I ever found was this species 14 years ago, all the images are mine!
The smell, farinaceous, a lot stronger than other Psilocybe species!

maybe the bigger once have the same amount but you have
to eat more than the smaller ones IMO

Nice.....yeah i went checked on some smaller ones i left the other and found some new growth...left tons of smallies for the next rain or sprinkler to kick them into gear..cant wait to visit them again!!

Found these today....first ones are my favorites!! and the last pic is of one i found yesterday..thats been ceiling fan-drying all night and today..gorgeous!!!!

this is from the same patch as my last find about 2 weeks ago. it looks like they are evolving into more beautiful specimens as the temperature gets a little cooler. what do you think weiliiiii?

Like who? some people are WAY too paranoid, and if those were my only spots, you think i'd be saying that? what is with you people? if you're talking about cops, they already line the damn roads, i didn't get specific enough to bring extra heat, no need to piss yourselves. Not like any of you actually frequent the same spots as me, and as for you guys trying to help others, you're a little too vague, so i figured i'd put some of my places on the line, how does what i said effect ANY of you? you don't own the damn streets.

hmmmm......

Anyways....on to brighter news! patch is still blooming...left these small ones and even used a nearby hose to water them...this is some kind of biz that hauls some kind of non potable water...and my weilii are growing near the storage tank...there must be something in it that are making the weilii grow here..maybe i should look into it and see whats in it!!!!!

anyways i watered these this evening...with the water source described above..and will check tomorrow.. and post the findings!! this might make them grow like crazy!!!!if this is the source of reason for their gathering

You call it paranoid but most people call it smart, its not daisies were picking here. If cops watch spots and they see you your in a world of shit, lets just say they question you and you say the words "weilii mushrooms" and they research that and get info on habitats, seasons, COUNTIES THEY GROW IN, etc. Why give those people any info to help them with making more arrests? Also its against the rules on here.
