Yet another advantage is that they can be sterilized with the agar inside of them without worrying about the agar boiling over and making a mess. That's much easier than having to pour hot agar into plates, which again requires a glove box or flow hood to minimize contam risks.
FooMan....check out a post I made a while ago, Dishes with no flow hood. Condensation is not a problem either if you let it cool overnight.

Oh yeah, no way would you pour these after PCing the agar. They work just like grain jars. The condensation can be a problem though. Like he said, don't take them out of the PC before they are room temp. Seems to help.
