...something crazy went down and everyone you knew was joining the military and all excited about fighting for their country. i mean EVERYONE you knew was doing it and they all expected you to do so as well and you knew that if you didn't, that they would greatly hold it against you.
i keep picturing something like this happening and im the only one that doesn't want to and everyone is harassing me and trying to convince me to join them.

It depends on the reasoning behind the war.
I'd probably suspect illogical patriotism, but go along with it in the end anyways. Anyone up for dieing to satisfy the elite and appease their never-ending power struggles?

I've talked to people that went to war. It's so animalistic. If you don't have instinct, you die. I don't wanna expose myself to that. And if everybody I knew was going to war, that would be a big fucking war. Like, of the everybody dies variety. No thanks, I'll run and hide.

Actually, a lot of us probably wouldn't. If all the national borders dissolved today, lots and lots of people would die.
It would be mostly the fat people that die.

I think it's very easy for people with safe and comfortable lives to say they would never fight for anything.
But upon the realization that there are people out there that do not share your pacifist views and are coming to take from you everything that you have, including your life, most of you would fight.
I strongly believe this.
