the fact that you posted a dictionary definition is ironic because i think the purpose of the quote was to break down the current definition of sound into something more concrete.
but once again, im not saying it is 100% true, its just something to think about

yeah I agree the pic of him wearing a robe may give people who don't know him a wrong impression of what he was all about. it would be funny if he was just stoned and was just wearing a bath towel around the house and someone just happened to take a picture of him.

Aha! McKenna waxing Gnostic, with his talk of the Demiurge (in feigned Yiddish). Plato's Demiurge was identified with YHVH by certain Gnostic Christians. I never heard TM work this stuff into his cosmic yarns before. Fun!

There's a 4 hour McKenna lecture floating around the net called 'Exploring The Hermetic Tradition' that's really good.
