My friend said in culinary school they taught him that scientists found that velveeta is one molecule away from plastic. Has anybody else heard of this?

We are all actually one molecule away from being plastic.  One day I will turn us all into plastic and eat you.

Velveeta is pretty gross.  Has no place in any kitchen as far as I'm concerned.

i always heard that margarine was close to plastic, and i did the experiment, stuck an open tub of it on the back porch for a few weeks. not a thing touched it. not even a fly.

Mayonaise is definitely not.  Its just emulsified egg white
and oil

When i was in grade school, in the 70's, there was this rumor that if you ate 2 of those multi colored candy necklaces with the stretchy string in the middle, that you would die, then one day this black chick got all suicidal & bought 3 of them, for like $ 1.20, wore all three to school & kept eating, kids were all a buzz about it, waiting for her to keel over, she didn't.

Next came the rumor that bubblicious gum was full of spider eggs & such, there were even notices in the bodaga about the rumor & that it was false. ( i actually knew the guy who wrote the jingle for that gum )

Well we got to 10th grade, and then the rumor come along that corona beer was pissed in by the mexicans, so we all switched to budweiser.

Modern times, last night i bought some velvida cheese to make whole wheat mac & cheese, melted the "cheese", ( i use the word cheese lightly, lol, it is not bad ), & it was fine, i froze about 8 containers for future use. It came out awsome.

well more power to anyone who wants to use it, because it is cheap. however there are so many other choices that i have no need for it.
