I've had a batch of raspberry lambic beer going for many months . Unlike normal lager and ale which I can turn out batches in just over 2 weeks if I force carbonate , lambics can take me over a year to make . Same with some of my meads . The lambic should be ready by Christmas

I've never heard of a black raspberry and will have to keep an eye out for them ! Warm berry cobler with vanilla icecream on top ... mmmmmm... same with homemade bread puddin !

Oh, hey, I will be looking for that mead post.

I will try to have the orange recipe in its own post by Sunday.
It is THE BEST beginner's mead recipe IMO.

The raspberry one is still a work in progress as I have not had enough berries to really test it out.

Snoot, I have about half of what you have in my back field lining a fence.  By the looks of what is now coming ripe, I can gather a gallon a day for quite awhile.  My blackberries are about 7 years old.  The thorns are maybe a half centimeter at most.  They still hurt!

Post what your berries look like, size I mean, when they get ripe.  Lots of our blackberries are thumb size, which is neat. They are much sweeter than the ones at the supermarket here.

I will be looking for the mead recipe.

Anyone have a dessert wine type thing I could make with blackberries?  Something a beginner could make?

Today's black raspberries from northeastern Ohio.

They're growing at the edge of a field by my house where 2 houses were torn down in the past.  Those thorns can tear me up and make me itch!
