some ball-less pussy punched a girl i know last night, and when i shoved him and squared up, he pulled a blade and slashed the tendon in my left forearm, cut my index finger on the left hand (both came from me blocking). he took a swipe at my chest, put a five inch cut across my heart that was pretty shallow thanks to me backpedaling, could've easily been fatal. his friend started kicking me in the face, i landed some shots as the fight hit the ground, and once the knife was out of the equation, this pussy motherfucker bit my right ribcage as hard as he could.
i got a tetnis shot and have to have surgery to repair my left tendon/muscle, but they're both facing felony charges. god i wish i had already bought my 1911 .45. 
all i have to say is marijuanna did a great job for the pain of being cut up until i made it to the hospital. if i hadnt been high i might have passed out on the way to the ER.

That's horrible. I hope those people go to jail for a long time, and you have a speedy recovery.
At ranges of 15 feet or less, knives are much more dangerous than guns. I would not recommend a gun for self-defense, because most fights begin from much closer ranges than a gun is effective at. It is unlikely you could draw, aim, and fire, in time to stop the person attacking you.
Regardless, protecting yourself from a knife attack is a nightmare situation. I'm sorry you had to go through that, and good work fighting back the whole time.

yeah, I'm already recovering quickly, the bruises to the head are nearly gone, and the knife pussy is looking at attempted murder, his homeboy at aggravated assault and tampering with evidence.
this is a situation where i would've had ample time to draw aim and fire a handgun, which i regret not being able to do. my CCW license just jumped pretty high on my priority list.
i know i got lucky, but I couldn't let a woman-beating knife-wielding pussy take me out. i hope this guy gets a good sentence, and once he gets out he needs to stay far away from my city.

Not when you practice Close Quarters defense... Anyone with a knife would be quite dead with 5 or 6 .45 slugs in their abdomen and chest.
It's basically just practicing quick drawing the weapon, locking your elbow close to your body and firing 5 or more rounds as fast as possible directly in front of you.
With some practice, you'd be surprised how good of a grouping you can get without aiming.

I already denied both of them the option of personal bail, so they have to either lawyer up or get a bail bondsman. luckily, they are both broke, so i think they'll be in jail for a while before the actual sentencing.

Damn man, thats a shitty situation. I was almost in the same type of confrontation on the 4th. Some dud pulled a machete on me, but he was scared of me, and didn't even try to use it. Instead the little pussy ran off and sliced up the paint job on my truck with the machete. I can't wait to get my hands on him.

got a bit of good news today, i don't need surgery (for now), and as long as i keep up with my physical therapy, I'll keep full usage and feeling in my left hand. also got a much lighter and ergonomic splint then I've had for the last two days, which means i get to go to the Lil' Wayne concert this week. and i got my deposit back from my last apartment, which covered all of my co-pays/deductibles.
a relative of the girl who was being hit actually asked me to drop charges against the guy who kicked me in the face, b/c it will fuck up her friends life. its rare that i lose that much respect for a person in one sitting, it blew my mind. if he'd knocked me unconscious with the soccer kicks i would have died, no doubt about it.
i lost so much blood at the hospital i apparently turned totally white, and i had a genuine chemical release of DMT. i can't well explain the things i saw but i was not scared for one second and that experience confirmed a lot of my ideas on death. still, im beginning to think that decent human beings are much rarer than i thought.
