i just read it again... his wife's account too... i've seen some strange things myself, so i don't like to dismiss stories like these just because they are out of the ordinary...

i'm just going to assume for a moment that it is true, so bare with me... i'm completely ashamed and of how that man handled the situation. his violent behavior is just down right disturbing :nonono: and i'm deeply saddened that that savage raging animal had to be humanity's representative.  i can only hope that the fish being is ok.  if that alien showed up in my room i'd sooner offer it my hospitality than dig around for something to stab it with!

i'd give him a big ol' hug and offer him a cup of tea.

 really? why?

the wife mentioned that she didn't feel threatened by it at all.

maybe i don't understand because i don't have a wife or kids.. but damn! how often do you come across a golden benevolent fish man?  fishman was probably just getting ready to shower his wife and child with a magical alien blessing or something.. and then the husband had to jump out of the darkness and start stabbing wildly like blood lusting savage..

i think we need to get those war of the worlds/independence day nonsense movies out of our psyche and welcome these new guests with open arms.

Haha somehow i highly doubt that... lol
The story sounds somewhat believable, yet highly unbelievable. There are too many details unfilled, mixed with an imaginative writing stlye and to top it off his "wifes" writing style is very much the same with all of its punctuation characteristics, which leads me to believe that its a cool story to read, though a made up story...

I wanted to believe, but the guy really offers no other details, just gets pissed off when people ask intelligent questions

let me guess, you'd bust out your kitchen knives and start stabbing?

funny thing is.. if somebody would have told me that the general consensus of what people would do if they came in contact with an alien life form would be to, find knives and try to murder it... of THAT, i would have been highly doubtful...

unfortunately it seems the elusive nature of extra terrestrials is pretty well justified.

Murder brings strong connotations of a wrongful purpose....
Just so long as they cook the alien at about 350 for an hour before consuming, it will be perfectly acceptable....
We can insight the "natural order" clause....  Aaaahhhhhh    >>BELCH<<

Hahaha look at the picture he drew of the fish man. He says its the most dreadful horrific thing he's ever seen in his life. And then the picture looks all cute and friendly with a big smile on its face.

Obviously you wouldnt understand.
I dont applaud him for being SOOO god damn violent, but this "Fishman" was in his room while he was sleeping reaching out to his wife to touch her, if it was me and i happened to have a knife yeah id warn it that its bout to get some sharp curry and if it didnt retreat id have my way with it, though my weapon of choice would be a cricket bat, id hit him for 6
Tell me, if you awoke to a hidious being reaching out to touch your family, would you really be so suttle as to offer it a spot of tea? I dont know about that 1, the fear of the unknown would cloud your way of thinking. You would probably be fearing death.
I dont believe this stupid nonsense, what a hoax

well... maybe you just have trouble seeing things outside your own perspective?

ok, ok... so maybe right off the bat i wouldn't offer him tea and give him a hug.  i'd greet him first and try to communicate a little... maybe feel out it's intent... if it seemed benevolent, which this one most certainly did, then yeah, i'd treat him as the most distinguished guest that i've ever had the honor of offering my hospitality to.

from the way the alien was described, i don't think i'd see him as hideous at all.  to me he sounds beautiful.  i've been dreaming and day dreaming about aliens for a long time and i'm fairly confident that if i ever were to encounter one, that i wouldn't let fear and other negative emotions spoil the moment.

Lol yeah that drawing looks like a great concept for a stuffed animal...maybe even a Saturday morning cartoon!

I guess the good thing is that if this thing can vanish in a flash of light he probably made it out alive...

That's an iffy situation, though, if true. I would probably grab a knife, gesture at him like a "hey wtf? explain yourself!" and if in the splint second after that he turned violent or jumped at me or my wife & kids I would do the same to him.

If all of this is true the being would probably be able to sense your emotional state and if you were cautiously interested I don't think it would sprint off...but on the same note it would be extremely hard to believe that all alien beings are benign, no matter how they seem to act. For all this man knew in his half-asleep state, the fish man was just trying to be sneaky! not nice...

And yaknow this right here blows my mind the most about alien encounters in general: Why the fuck do these aliens always visit people at night??? Damnit I'm not going to stab you if you pop into my house when I'm hanging out in the afternoon and watching tv or some shit....

How do they expect a safe meeting when they approach you in your *absolutely most vulnerable position* ?!?

Either way, thanks for posting...most definitely, truth aside, was a good read. I was on the edge of my seat!
