I feel like I've lived for longer than I actuatly have
    #8599209 - 07/05/08 11:43 PM (2 months, 1 day ago)

I remember pondering to myself while sober one time... I reminded myself of myself that I was 18 and my mind just went...wtf!? I feel much older then that haha like I've lived much longer. I think it has to do with marijuana use. Anyone else feel the same?

Past lives, bro.

Are you implying that you feel older in the sense that your body aches or that you have come across a residual memory or feeling of existing longer than your physical age in this current life? I have just gotten over a year long stint of nasty opiate use and I feel like I my body has been torn apart, like what I expect to feel like when I am forty five years old. On the other hand, during or due to trips I sometimes feel like I tap into my file within the Akashic Records, going over the many lives I have experienced..Its a very strange feeling, like I am on the brink of consciously becoming aware of experiences I have had before my physical birth. During intense psychedelic episodes, I do sort of reach a conscious state of awareness of said experiences, although the details of which remain vague. I am sure of myself that my mind or soul is infinite and has always been, although I am unsure of whether or not it has incarnated in this world or realm before, in another body or time

I just feel like the period of time during which I have smoked marijuana which was about one year felt like it was a much longer period of time. The last year felt like it lasted 3 years in the comparison to all my other years. That is why I have this sensation then I am older than my age number indicates.

ya i get that a lot

i can remember at least two of my past lives, one i was a roman soldier, another i was a mother in 17th-18th century france (that one kinda freaks out my gf i dont know why lol)

each of my past life memories reveals several of the unique aspects of my personality, i havent recovered many memories, but it seems that my lives tend to be around 300 years apart

ive accomplished so much personally with the aid of cannabis

and it also does tend to extend the time while im on it, 2 days of smoking on the weekends feeels as relaxing as a 2 wk vacation, and keeps me mentally refreshed

overall though, i dont measure my life in past experiences, but what i have ahead of me to experience in the future, i dont even remember most of my schildhood or much at all before i was 15, because before that i was a completely different person than i am now, so those memories seem rather irrelevent, plus the fact that i was on mind controlling ssri drugs since 8 and ritalin since 6... which i finally stopped this year but had been trying to for a while

lets just say that i dont agree with how my parents raised me....

No matter what the period of time is, it's still your whole life.  When you were 7, your life still seemed long, it's not like you would have said "wow, this has been pretty quick."  You don't start to feel time slipping until you're  older I think, once you actually have a true concept of exactly how much time you have left to live (I'm 18 btw so I can't know for sure).

it sounds like cannabis has helped you, its not like those are paranoid delusions about past lives or anything.

weed did the same thing to me. after smoking it heavily, age no longer really has a meaning to me. it's hard to explain but my earliest memories from like 2 years old seem just as vivid as memories from one year ago.

My memories are just as vivid but in a way they have still faded a bit.  The emotional empathy I used to have with my memories is glossed over with the weight of time.  It's almost like I remember the images, but at this point I'm so different from the person who saw those images that I can't reconcile it with my current self concept entirely, at least like I used to be able too.  Still, I respect who I was at every portion of my life in some ways, so in that manner those memories do still have importance to me.

sarcasm?
if so, my spirituality, and how i practice it is my buisiness, i really dont care if your reality doesnt include these types of enlightening spiritual experiences, and i pity you for it, but mine does, and it is very real

cannabis and meditation will take you way further than meditation alone, trust me

Yeah...weed has done the same for me. It's made me comfortable with me living life in the now, doing things I need to do as life happens...so time isn't really an issue/worry.

And yeah...it seems like I can connect with the infinite if I really think about it or meditate when I'm high...and psychedelics have definitely helped me realize this. I'm continously becoming more and more confident that I am a part of a much larger collective consciousness of everyone in this world, and I get to experience a new body, in a new place, in a new time, with each life I experience.
