you are right i was not sure of the id but i guees it was not edible , it was still a pin and have not developed spores , but you know how fun is to find species that blue instantly and with those colors , the taste was bitter so no a good one for sure . i have many videos but i can`t upload due to slow connection i guess.

i dont know why i have not step more with lentinus boryanus but this time they grow in great numbers.is incredible the resemble they have with lentinus edodes , sometimes equaly, and the taste is so similar even i have to said i do not like to much shitake , i really enjoy the fresh lentinus boryanus almost as the Mexican version of the japanase delicasy but far more good that cultivated shitake i wonder ,about the medicinal properties od this specie, well i step with a very high yielder , iam doing all my best to try to save this specimen in many ways , atempp to try cultivation will be performance.

hello all , perseverance is one of the thing that bring more rewarding experiences. this is the time lapse pictures of the find of gymnopilus subpurpuratus and others. i will have to use this picture again sorry...
well the pin that look to the left this is next day and other specimen different log and space apart more old and with spores in the middle of the cap due another gym on top look the real color to the side that was not covered with spores .
 next day in the afternoon

 after this hunty dunty fell
the other specimen note both sides
then i go to another forest near me this where from a forest 3 hour away and this new are from 20 minutes far. found a few other mushrooms
this one smell so Strong to garlic i bet it can be use as a spice maybe marasmius ?
some nice specimen of psathyrella normally all specimen around where dull and with fade colors.
then i pass some bush and eat a few fruit
begin to notice how subpurpuratus loves to grow on pine stick and log , and Begin to notice was a common mushrooms in shadow areas near creek or wet areas and many of the decompose log of pines where attack by guess who

Beautiful pics as always. So many mushrooms in Mexico! That Auricularia looks cool - is it edible?

Wow, is that a non-mutant growing next to the mutants?
Have you sent one of these types in for microscopy?

The yellow pore surface with large pores and blue bruising says Suillus. They can be hard to ID to species sometimes. Was the cap viscid?
Is that big red Amanita from a few days ago muscaria or flavoconia? Do you have any others that look like that?

My goodness cactu, you have so many amazingly incredibly beautiful photos! They blow me away.
Was that a crocodile that was approaching you in one of your photos? Wish I was there!
Those mutant mushrooms were extremely unusual looking. I wonder what would cause such a mutation...a virus perhaps? How is the trip off zapotecorum?
I can't believe how many different active mushrooms you just found, let alone the entire variety of mushrooms all up.

Darvin says that these are probably a Cladonia species. My guess is Cladonia jaliscana.

Rod Tulloss calls this one Amanita muscaria subsp. flavivolvata, which is the common one that is distributed throughout much of north and central america.

Darvin says this one is unlikely to be Russula cyanoxantha because the margin looks too thin and is striate. He says R. cyanoxantha is thick and stout and very hard for a Russula.
