Whenever i go to a japanese restraunt their green tea is EPIC. It tasts so good and fucking awsome. However the green tea they have in stores tasts nothing like it.
Is it cause they dont use tea bags? Is it cause they use whole leaves? What is it! PLEASE TELL ME!

a lot of people make the mistake of leaving the tea bags in the cups for too long. if you do that, it makes the tea bitter. gotta gank it as soon as the water takes on the full color of the tea.

Always use distilled water to make tea or coffee....

Every tried a higher end tea such as ones from adagio tea ?
What I want to know is how they make that egg yolk sauce they cook stuff in ! Every time I have tried a recipe from the net it tastes NOTHING like theirs .

I bought a tea ball and some loose tea at Natures Way. The piece of shit tea ball didn't seal all the way and leaked tea out all into the water. I returned it and bought the more expensive tea ball they had but that one did the same damn thing. I used to like that store until they sold me cheap defective products twice in a row. Now I don't trust any of their shit. I have three bags of different loose teas just sitting in a cabinet because I haven't been able to find a tea ball anywhere else and I don't want to buy one online.

Don't use boiling water on green tea
There usually isn't enough room for the tea to expand in a tea ball. Use a stainless steel or nylon filter that fits into the pot or use these empty tea bags you fill yourself with loose tea. these are my favourite way of brewing tea. They make them for cups and for pots and are a lot less messy than reusable filters.
And finally like Justin said, don't use too much tea, and don't let it sit in the water for too long.
