seeking source of info on growing mushrooms in developing countries

So my mushroom business is taking off beyond any of my initial expectations. All our main investments are covered; flowhood, cookers, tons of jars... But there is one huge issue. We want to continue to do this through the winter. Unfortunatly we are in Zone 5/4, it is very cold in the winter. We need to build some sort of structure that we can heat. A large hoophouse/greenhouse is looking like it is going to be most cost effective but we are still exploring other options. What I am interested in is how do they do it in developing countries? I want to set this up on the cheap, cutting any corner that I possibly can. Could someone direct me to any good books or websites on cultivation in poor countries?

Mushroom Cultivation by Peter Oei has a lot of developing country techniques and examples. He breaks things into Simple Farms and Advanced Farms groupings.

Well right now all we have consistently is oysters. We use 4 gallon buckets and have about 20 on their second and third fruitings and 5 on their first and 5 waiting to fruit. We try to do 5 new ones a week. Thanks for the source.

b3jamboree- I am also in zone 5 and am trying to figure out ways to go all year. I think I'm going to get one of those portable garages and some heating cables like the ones they sell at MycoSupply and wrap the columns with the cables. I was also thinking of getting industrial wire shelving and weaving the heating cables in and out to heat bags as well as the steel should become a thermal mass to keep the bags nice and cozy warm You could also go on ebay and find a cheap 20' cargo container and mod it with vents and heating/cooling. 20' cargo containers go for about $1600.00 delivered.

No shit newb, that is very interesting. I have been thinking about this all wrong. I have been thinking of how to heat the entire structure rather than just heating the cropping containers. You really have the right idea with that, I can't believe I haven't come up with that yet.
I never thought about the cargo container either, but that makes really good sense too. It would be easy to insulate and 1600 is a hell of a deal for that kind of easy to sanitize space.
Now pardon me while I steal your ideas Thanks
