yes you can. you have to be indie and do salvia once.

I completely disagree, and completely agree. A person may be born with all of the skills, temperament, intellect, etc, to be the greatest shaman ever, but until life throws them the cicrumstances to create a crisis that forces them into the shamanic rite of passage (psychosis), it's not going to happen. Although, I guess some try to force it with vision quests and all of that, too. I think it's less genuine at that point, but still profound.

Do what if I were born a shaman and my powers of shamanism were latent and repressed due to society and I need to find my roots to lead me back to my shaman status.
i'm sorry, but this is a silly thread.

You're right.
http://kundalini-teacher.com/awakening/shamn.php
If you have the capability to become a shaman - you will become one. It's not an if or then situation; Shamanistic people become shamans.
You can achieve some of the same things as shaman, but you will not be able to do all of what a shaman does.

perhaps the very act of being born was a crisis of sorts, have you considered that?

Yeah, but I know a lot of people who weren't c-section babies, and aren't shamans.

Did you know America ranks the lowest in education but the highest in drug use? It's nice to be number one, but we can fix that. All we need to do is start the war on education.

Yeah, if you are you now, then you become a shaman, what has changed? Who were you before & after?

I have heard that there is a most terrible initiation involved... Sometimes being ripped apart by trippy jaguars and then ritualistically put back together. Incidentally, I recall seeing a special on T.V. about early jewish priests snarfing mushrooms. There are vague references to J-man being a mushroom noshing drug user (shaman-priest?!?) who could make endogenous D.M.T. Mary supposedly carried T.H.C. infused olive oil in her alabaster jar. John the baptist certainly fit the bill for his peculiar dress and socially inappropriate behaviors. Drugs = evolution...

perhaps not c-section, but had the umblilical cord wrapped around the neck, or was breach.

My shoulder was stuck and had to be pulled out with forceps. The doctor was so brutal on me that I have a scar on my left cheek from it and cannot wink my left eye.
Kinda a crisis.
