 So just bought a bowl... and some pot, and I have HPPD

Gave up everything way back in October but have been wanting to smoke lately, not like I used to (chronic pothead) but maybe a few times a month. Anyways I have some moderate HPPD and just wanted to ask anyone if their symptoms get worse when they're high? My HPPD is kinda confusing, the worst symptom is static vision but I have trouble determining how much of this is from drugs or just genetic since I've had it since I was a kid.
Anyways I'm sitting here staring at a new bowl and some "beast beast" (apparently this is the strain that eats beaster) and I'm just kinda afraid to smoke again but want to in the worst way.
Anyone with HPPD chime in....

my Hppd has toned down to the point i don't noticed it now. but weed never affected it.
the only time weed enhanced psychedelics was for like a few days after a trip.

i get mild HPPD every once in a while completely sober, and i will occasionally get it while smoking a lot of really good weed, but not any 'worse' than normal. i think the fact that im stoned makes me notice it just b/c i'm zoned out and staring at shit.
still, it doesnt seem to get any stronger after i come down then it normally is.

Not quite. At night time when its dark things get quite odd. When I just stare things grow shift and morph about. I also have a bit of the stoney feeling that is often attributed to HPPD. It's gotten much better in 6 months but I just wish it could go away period and soon.

OP im in the same boat as you and last time I smoked my HPPD went through the roof. So since Feb. I stopped smoking. Although I am kinda wanting to try it again

It definitely amplifies any HPPD you may have, but when it does just remind yourself why you smoked it in the first place: to have fun!

yea i smoked a little last week with friends and that went by easy, probably bc I had them to talk to but now i wanna smoke alone since i've always liked that better and thats what worries me some

i have severe hppd, and have had for years.
i also smoke 10-15 times a day, increasing the likelihood of it.
i can deal with a couple fuzzy lines and weird colors though, maybe you should stop being such a

Yeah it kind of locks you down and spirals you into anxiety for a while, it's not fun. Mine is starting to finally die down. You just need those mental tools to pull yourself out when you see the signs.
