How to get out of paying tickets?

Hi all, I have a little problem that keeps on getting bigger.
I keep getting traffic tickets and not paying for them. It all started with the first ticket was huge and I just couldn't afford it. 6 more pull overs I am stuck with a substantial amount of fines to pay. However, I have absolutely no money to pay them with and no source of income. How can I get out of paying tickets and work it off in like community service or something like that? The tickets range from speeding to driving on a suspended license. There are more than I can remember and I really don't know how many there are either. I have a court appearance in August and I would like to make a plea bargain or something. Could this be done?

Get a source of income? Typically this comes in the form of a "job". Even making minimum wage, you can save $1,000 for your tickets by August. If it's still not enough, explain your financial situation to the judge and ask for a payment plan. You may even get lucky and have your fines reduced. Increase your chances by following my first piece of advice and show that you're really working to pay off the debt.*
*This is a common sense answer from someone who has never been to court, YMMV.

you have Georgia, Massachusetts, Michigan, Tennessee and Wisconsin left to go and rack up large traffic ticket $'s. they dont share records with the interstate data compact.

Well the first time I got pulled over it was right after going down a large hill and the only thing you can do is ride the brake all the way down which I did brake but the speed limit was 25 and my car is heavy so it was difficult.
I don't drive like a dick I am a very good driver I don't cut people off I go the speed limit, I use blinkers, I don't road rage or anything like that. You got the wrong guy, friend.
But anyway, thanks for the advice guys I'll just get a job and pay the tickets off.

It was difficult to press the brake pedal that you were already pressing a little harder? It's difficult to stop for those pesky red lights too huh?
I suggest you sell your car and take public transportation. Also apply for a court date for each and every ticket received. I don't know about where you live but where I am I fight every ticket including parking - worst case scenario you have the fine reduced and best is the cop is a no show and you get off free of charge, or you actually do your homework and research and question the officers evidence (clearly not a viable option for yourself). Good luck.

When you do go to court make sure you're wearing some decent looking clothes and a tie. Get a socially acceptable haircut, trim or shave any facial hair. Present your situation to the judge. State that you know that you "were wrong to be driving illegally etc. etc.". Also state that you intended on getting legal as soon as possible after you found work. State that you were not sure what to do to fix the situation. Pay at least a token amount of money toward your fines. When you go to court let the judge know that you have paid X dollars to "this or that fine". After stating your situation be quiet and the judge will most likely help you in your situation. I've had similar charges dropped twice. Just have a very clean, socially acceptable appearance, be well spoken, and don't interrupt or argue with the judge.

Doing the jail time might not be a bad idea.
Or hell, get a job at McDonalds. Having some sort of income is better than none and there might be the option to pay it back in small monthly payments instead of all at once.
And why don't you learn from your mistakes?

I like this forum. Everyone keeps saying 'get a job'. It's like the anti-Pub!
