Just because the Mayan calender ends doesn't mean shit. All this means is that the Mayans' figured that this is far enough for them and their children to truly need for measuring of time dilation.
They got lazy, this is all. Maybe it means Nader will win the presidency? Or a Libertarian? Would be pretty much the same as the end of the world for much of the population.

the reason other religions predict things on the same date is because it is the begining of the age of aquarius. based on the earth's axis tilt rotation that happens every 48000 years. the zeitgeist movie explains this. the 9-11 shit is mostly BS tho

Exactly, all religions borrow from each other more or less. With this in mind, it shouldn't come as much of a surprise when these dates and times tend to synchronize up once in a while.

mckenna states that dec 2012 is just the end of the period of time we're in, there's another even shorter repetition of this period squashed into the next couple of months, and then a 'final' 6 day period
or something to the tune of that lol

i heard it was like we were entering a different dimension, and all physics will change, time will cease to exist....which could also mean the end of the world, as we know it atleast.

My plan for 122112 (12-21-12) is to trip at 12 am on 12-22-12...the day after will be cool, cuz it will mean I'm still around and not changed, so it's a celebration trip...of course, if something DOES happen, then I guess I won't be able to trip...

The earth is located near the outer edge of the milky way galaxy. In all truth, if we were to somehow craft a spaceship that could travel the speed of light and take the shortest route out of our galaxy, it would take approximately 50,000 years. I'm sure it would take at least 250,000-300,000 light years to reach the center. Don't underestimate the size of our galaxy. It's massive. And there's billions of other galaxies. Ours is actually one of the smaller ones out there.
So...there's no way the earth will be in the center of the galaxy by 2012. You might have me convinced if this super-massive black hole manages to warp time beyond the laws of theoretical physics...and if all the stars in our sky disappear by 2011, then I'll believe you.
I will be tripping, or at least I am planning on tripping, on 12-21-12. It should make it interesting, and it would provide me with a new slate of being, prepared for change.
I wonder what would happen if everyone tripped balls at the same time. That would test the powers of our consciousness, wouldn't it?

I am believing at the 2012. I will take a hit of DMT at the first second to help myself to leave this place, and if i can to help the others.
