Go to Youtube. Watch the Let's Grow Mushrooms all four parts by Roger Rabbit. Then come back and ask us about the video if you have questions. He explains everything and a little bit extra.

Dunk and roll your cakes. I USUALLY don't for the first flush, but for the subsequent ones I do. I have dunked for the first flush though works wonders. Dunk and then roll in dry vermiculite, and if you don't have any verm. just dunk it for at least...12 hours is a nice time no more than 24 though. Do it at room temperature as well.

Ok dunked at room temp. Used plates to hold em down but it was rough keeping em under, I may have abused the cakes too much handling but well see. FC is ready to go, so about this time tom. theyll be in the FC!!! thanks for all the help guys.

Hey man besides what works and what doesnt.... Just watch your cakes... if your abusing them you will soon realize it. Don't be worried; mushrooms are just like the trip, if it looks good its good. But if it looks bad, change it or you will be stuck with them being bad.
edited: for english clarity... For some reason when I'm drunk I worry about clarity much more then when I'm not.
