One of those, "bend over in the kitchen to pick something off the floor and then bolt upright to CRACK your head on the open cabinet door" moments.
I'm in severe pain. My head feels bad.

that sucks. That's my favorite part of a scanner darkly though. Just rub it and you'll be alright.

Don't smash the knob on the back of your head, if you crack it, your brain will swell and you'll bleed goopy nastiness and spinal fluid through your ears mouth and nose. That's how that one guy I saw just like last week died.

What's kinda amusing is that I had my hands covered in date syrup and after the thump happened I lifted my hands to grip my skull. Now there is date syrup in my hair.

2 years ago this month I fainted and hit my head on a tile floor. I was in and out of conciousness for 2 1/2 days with no fluid intake puking from dissiness ever hour most of this I don't remember. I was forced into the hospital and found out I had a tripple skull fracture. I was so fucked up at the time I neglected to tell people I hit my head during the 2 day span. I said I had the flu. I also forgot to tell people my ear was full of a liquid and I couldn't hear.
When I finally went to the hospital they did a spinal tap and bacteria(suspected meningitis) in my spinal fluid which was running out my nose like it was bleeding badly. The doc said if I would have waited any longer the swelling of my brain would have been too much and I would have died, not to mention the severe dehydration. Then the right side of my face was paralyzed like for 2-3 weeks. From the crack my ear filled up with blood and killed many inner ear nerves aswell as my hearing with no equilibrium function for 3 full months which slowly returned over the next year but has never fully recovered. 6 days in the hospital and all-in-all 2 years of recovery. All of falling from hitting the back of my head on the floor. I actually had a hard time convicing the doctor this was true because they were always floored as to how fucked up I was.
Needless to say, head injuries definitely should't be take lightly. Anyway, didn't want to jack your thread but just thought I'de share. I hope you feel better.

Wow, dude. Yeah, I have to admit I half-made this post out of nervousness because I know head injuries can be dangerous.
I have HUGE knot on my head right now.

I would make sure you just stay awake and make sure you're alert. Chances are though, although while hurting like hell and pissing you off, if you have enough conginitive skill to read and type you will be alright.

Daytripper, you're gonna have to link me to it, but I watched someone die in front of me in the street after smashing that part of his head on the ground.
