hey someone was suggesting at topia that they would love to try to have the bits of mushrooms in the jello without boiling the tea. its worth a try and it wouldn't be that bad on the palette if the pieces were very small. it would be similar to fruit jello. although you would probably get the pieces stuck in your teeth. and your right. probably should have pulverized it a bit more. usually don't use this many fruits. but i bet this is some potent jello oh yeah!
this is a really old recipe in fact been using this for years but thought i would share. also, adding and upgrading is always good. post results if you guys get em. we can always improve this thing!

no no you misunderstood still strain it but if theres more smaller pieces it will extract the compounds more efficiently

yes i understood you. i was just talking about something else. someone was suggesting adding the live mushroom material in the jello instead of boiling it. that is all. but check this out below.

I imagine this would be true with your boiling step. Add a cup of key lime juice to your water and soak for ten minutes before your 2 minute boil. I think you will be surprised : )

i dont believe that the bluing is psilocybin and shouldnt be your cue on when the alkaloids are out. true that bluing is a trait of active fruits, but there are other inactives thats also bruise blue. i think you said also that when left out overnight in the strainer they were blue again right? 2 minutes may be appropriate though but i dont have much experience in making teas so i wouldnt know.
good recipe mang, ill probably give it a go some time.

Can't wait to try this. You can use a cloth like an old tea shirt or something to strain then you can twist it and squeeze all the extra juices out of the shrooms. That will leave you with thick nast gunk that settles at the bottom of your tea but seems like the jello would solve that problem.

elch you may be right. but the two minutes seems to work fine. or at least has for the past years that this recipe has been used.
also if you check a few posts above theres a post that speaks of using key lime juice to extract the alkaloids. thats probably going to be tested next round.

word on the street is that 3 big spoonfulls was a hell of a dose. FOAF was told to split this between 6 people but FOAF says this is enough for 10 people easily.
hit like a freight train off 3 bites!
also, key limes are at grocery stores. they are smaller and darker in color limes usually in plastic containers. maybe just a bit more money but very good!
