scales are cheap.. 20- 30 bucks should do, your connect shouldn't mind if you weigh it up. if he does care dont buy it.

You can get some hand scales for about 4 or 5 bucks at most tobacco stores. They don't weight perfect, usually a gram or so off, but definatly close enough.

an ounce can take up anywhere from a half of a typical ziplock baggie to the whole thing, depending on how dense the marijuana is.
It also weighs the same as 28 dollar bills.
Get a scale if you're going to be buying zones.

quick way.
Large, Unused McD or Timmies cup on the scale zeroed out.
Dump entire bag into cup.
if reading < 28.0 ask for more
if reading < 25 pull out your knife!

Ahh true. Here an Oz is commonly 28 grams.
Ask for an ounce you get 28 not 28.8
would be nice though

it will serve you well down the road for similar situations
eyeballing an ounce off a picture from the internet is like asking to get skimped
