 How often do you clean your glass?

Right now I only have a bubbler. I change the water at least every day, if not every smoke. I soak it in isopropyl alcohol/shake with salt about every week or every other week.
I think that's just about right, but everyone tells me I should let it go longer so it will color up more. I think that smoking out of a super resinated bubbler just tastes like shit 
Thoughts?

I smoke so rarely that I almost never clean my glass.
Smoking tastes like shit compared to vaporizing, regardless of the piece or how dirty it is. Smoke through a clean piece or smoke through a dirty piece... it's all the same compared to vapor.
I guess this is a useless response.

You have to clean bubblers pretty regularly so they don't taste like shit thats why I never bought one. I like a good ole fat spoon. I can't stand the small ones that only fit like two rip size bowls though. You hardly ever have to clean a spoon pipe and you can take huge resin rips if you happen to be out of pot and desperate.
Edit: I'm a dumb ass I forgot about one of my favorite pipes ever. I used to have a triple bubbler until my dad broke it 
I didn't have to clean it to often. The first chamber would get nasty but the other two did a good job of filtering all that out.

I clean my bubbler with salt and iso ever couple days, sometimes, at the least, every week. I usually don't clean it when all I have is mids, but if I get some good shit, I clean it out every day.

I clean my bong every month or so, whenever it starts to smell really nasty.
I let my glass pipes get fully rezed up until all of the colors come out and then I'll clean them so I can watch it change colors all over again.

I let mine get pretty baked up. My main glass piece is inside out and the colors come in really rich. That and I save the resins for those hard times.  I know it's gross but I at least try to bong it. Not sure how much it filters it but it beats freebasing resin.

I don't think my bubbler is fumed, so there isn't a whole lot of point in letting it color up. If it was fumed, it wasn't fumed very much.
Does this look fumed to you guys?
Should I let that color up?

When I was using a pipe regularly, I'd set it in a glass of rubbing alcohol to soak overnight every couple times I used it.

I don't know what the hell "fumed" means... is that the feeling you get after you inhale? 
But I can see a partial fingerprint in this picture!

Fumed means that while they were making the glass they burnt some sort of metal, usually gold, copper, or silver to produce fumes that stick to the glass. "Fuming" is the reason that color changing glass changes colors. Fuming different metals makes the glass change to different colors as the pipe gets darker.
I'm sure Capitalistic Nomad can tell you a whole lot more about it, but hopefully he decided to go to Rothbury.

I have two pipes I smoke out of regularly, I usually clean whichever one is dirtier (with salt+iso) every other day, so I guess that averages to once every 4 days for each piece.

fuming doesn't make the glass change color. The glass is already colored after it's been fumed, the black resin just lets the colors stand out.
You ever go to a pipe shop and have the guy put the pipe on a piece of black cloth? It's so you can get a look at the different colors which have been fumed in before you gunk it with tar.
I clean the bowl to my bong once a week and i try to clean out the actual bong once a month. As long as the waters fresh and there's not 4 lbs of crap on the bong or slide, it tastes just fine.

I hate to admit but I'm an ass with glass. I break it. Normally during cleaning it. But don't call me a noob. Been enjoying glass since 1975 when I purchased my first Glass Head pipe. I'm pretty sure very few here remember that name.

I got the exact same design on my bubbler. This design is fumed... but not entirely. Most of the clear sections will stay clear, the places near the swirl designs however will develop a little color

How much did you pick yours up for Gastronomicus?
Up in the NYC area most people think I paid around $100-$120 for it.
I got it for $35 in the suburbs of Atlanta.
