Having been one of the few that has experience picking active pluteus in the wild, I'd say that yours look right, to me.
My attempts at cultivation have (of course) also failed. There's an old stump that I know of, in a certain woods which probably still produces them to this day...

I don't think there are any pics of them in there. Don't think I had the camera with me. I know  for sure that there are many other pluteus pics in there though.
The gallery got so big that I can't even begin to search it. lol

For every one active Pluteus, you will find 100000s of cervinus, etc first. I know, it took like 6 years of throwing down inactive Pluteus before I saw one with blue stains all over it...

Hey I walked in my cow field yesterday in the overgrow area near a creek and found mushrooms growing out of the cow dung. they are very long with small caps.  They where off white, but they seemed to be dieing as the weather was warming up. What do you guys think.  I took some pics I try and post them tomorrow...

Without pictures of a better description there isn't much to say.  It is possible they are active, but more likely they are not.

cool a response!

um,  there very tall and skinny and the caps and stems appeared to disintegrated quickly.  I promise to post pics tomorrow  but do you have anymore thoughts?  I got ever excited when I saw and picked them.  I even had my hot Asian wife out there picking them.

If the caps disintegrate easily they are probably Coprinus species.  Start a new thread when you find them and we'll have a look.

Good luck!

I second this, for dosage, I find that taking 5-7 in a tea produces a nice mild trip. 8-10 should be good for intense experiences.
