Hi guys, I need some opinions on these boletes. They smell AMAZING (like chantrelles mixed with heavy cream and hazel nuts!) Im waiting on a spore print...figured id see what you guys could offer while thats happening.
Cap: Largest about 7-8 inches across. Tan color, flesh off white. Bruising=slightly darker than normal flesh color.
Tubes: Tiny, round, crowded. darker Tan color, bruising dark brown/black .
Stipe: 6 inches high on largest, scabers appear in a "netting" pattern (forget what its called. Colored as gills.
Odor: as described above Taste: smooth. not bitter at all.
I forgot to check the tree types they were associated with.

Flavor was very subtle. Did the basic sautee with garlic and butter, touch of white wine, touch of mirin. I would compare it to tofu in both flavor and texture. probably has a lot of possibilities.
