 Outdoor Marijuana Field Found In Orange County

For the first time in recent memory, Orange County investigators busted an outdoor marijuana growing operation. It was found near Ingram and Clarcona Ocoee (see map).
The sheriff's office helicopter was on routine patrol when deputies spotted the farm and found 214 plants with a street value of $214,000. Deputies said a lot of the brush had been cleared and the marijuana was there by itself in an abandoned nursery property.
The Orange County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit is investigating the surprising outdoor discovery and looking for any clues that may help them located the person or persons responsible.
This is the first outdoor marijuana grow house Eyewitness News has heard of in Central Florida in years. Most of the marijuana operations in Central Florida are indoors.
In just the past two months, 12 marijuana grow houses have been found in Brevard County, four were found in Marion County and one in Seminole County.
