You pretty much summed up exactly what i hate about the political veiws of all too many people today. I could care less what you believe, who you want to vote for, whether your a democrat republican, or idipendent, or for that matter comunist, socialist, or capitalist. Imo the only rulling system worse than a dictatorship is that of the self imposed democratic facade.
I submit that the opposite of LOVE is NOT HATE, but rather APATHY!

You clearly missed the entire point of that...
I wasn't refering to specific problems with my countries politics rather the problem of the general apathy towards political matters in general (that includes Canada and every other
country)
perhaps thats what the "Counter-Earth" is, a place where people actually give a crap.

it's cool man.
no i didn't see it but I can probably figure out what it was getting at. And i agree... we just may be fucked but IMO its largely due to the fact that we let the interest of few undermine the greater good of many. and quite honestly i see only two reasonably feasable modes of changing this.
1) being through a violent coup de ta, but this is likely to fail and if it were to suceed its likely to quickly become corrupt.
2) being through the masses actually using the political system present before them to voice they're opinion, and using politics as a median of change.
but hey if you don't mind having all of lifes choices made for you then, yeah sure oviod politics at all costs. But IMHO id rather make some wrong choices here and there to be able to MAKE CHOICES.

Would the theory of wafefunction collapse have anything to do with what you guys are talking about?
There's several theories that go on in the quantum physics world, and a couple of them happen to be this:
Either we are, on a macroscopic level, experiencing possibility waves that crash into one, which determines our current experience...
...or we are experiencing all possibilities at once, just our brain that resides in our body we are self-aware of, picks one. This means that all other possibilities of ourselves are happening in infinite parallel universes.
Isn't that weird to think about?
