OK, i'm new to the hobby so bare with me please.
Heres the thing:
I've birthed my first 1/2 qt BRF cake after a 24hr dunk and then a roll in verm.
A total of 10 days and its now a big snowball of myc much more than 3 days ago
I have it in a nice large fruiting chamber with several others natural indirect/direct sunlight ~12+ hrs a day UVB added rarely. Trying to get as much FAE as I can while working 10hr shifts. RH 91%-99% over a 24 hr period everyday. ~74-78F flux consistent each day as well.
My concern is why won't it fruit. I did a 90% completed cake, no dunk/roll and in about 4-6 days I had 40ish wet grams total from an (uncompleted) cake from the same recipe made the same time as these others yet nothing but lots of snow white myc growth on everyone else. I have a feeling it must be waiting for a huge first flush or maybe because I dunked/rolled before the first flush.
Can someone give me a little insight on what may be going on? All in all this cake has taken well over a month with nothing to show for it which is fine but I just want to see if maybe I'm doing something wrong here and how to correct it.

Every time I start a new hobby patients had from other is thrown out and now I must start anew.
I'm rolling about 12 more cakes tomorrow then the the other 12 or so by the end of the month so hopefully I can have a huge harvest or several spread out either way its going to be sooo exciting.

Thanks, I'm sure I'll be quite surprised.
I'm wondering if I could automate my FAE with a computer fan in one of the large holes in the back of the FC?
I guess a little off subject, but, for a first timer is the strains PES Hawaiian and Pensacola fairly potent or not very. I guess on a scale of 1-10 for cubies. I plan on taking my time working my way up the trip level starting out at maybe lvl 1 or 2 then slowly increasing.

I bet those cakes explode when they start to pin...I've had it happen. It took forever@! I mean it got to the point I almost gave them away, and 2 days later bam I had pins like you dream about.

Next time, have the cake dripping wet from the faucet before you roll in dry verm. Get the entire surface of the cake covered in verm, and then mist it well to keep it damp. The verm is your 'casing' layer. You might want to add a few more holes in your terrarium. Don't use fans though, they'll dry out the air and defeat the purpose of the terrarium.
DON'T use any sort of UV light on your mushrooms. That might be the problem. You don't want a color temperature above 7,500 Kelvin.

Will do, I run them under the sink after the dunk then roll. But since I have different staged cakes I'm worried about misting the others that have heavy myc growth through their casing already. Not sure if that will hurt them. Still it just seems like 10 or 11 days now in the FC and no pinning sounds odd to me. ButI think I'll take everyones advice and tough it out and then be in heaven when i see what they will do.
Ho do I do flushes? Do I just harvest then dunk/roll again? OR add BRF to the new casing after the 1st flush for nutrients?
Oh, and about holes. It has the amounts of hoels in the pics covering 100% of the tub, top, bottom, all sides and lid.

Amount of holes looks good to me, even on the high side, but I am a noob. RR came up with the Tek. I'm curious how often he actually uses this type of FC, though.

I have another question.
If I was to have an anxiety attach or such or needed to chill my trip would my prescribed .5mg klonopins help me? I've been recently having some anxiety attacks for the first time in my life and wasn't sure if shrooms would dwell on this.
I'm not worried about my first time, I'm really looking forward to it. I plan on doing no more then 1.5g my first few times. I was prescribed an anti depressant too and didn't know if these meds would create negative effects. I know the klonopins make me feel cheering so I though those could help if the time needed it. I just got these all today. Never had anxiety before so didn't know if this is a bad thing and pretty much a loss.

MAOI's will make your trip stronger...Which anti-depressant is it? Or do you know whether or not if its a MAOI. Anyway yes they will help, but you will probably need about 2mg depending on the severity of it. I like klonopins much better for a bad trip as opposed to xanax. klonopins chill me out, but don't put me to sleep like xanax. Be careful though mushrooms can definitely trigger an anxiety attack. Marijuana did it for me when I was going through some anxiety/panic attacks. Funny thing was when I tripped on LSD or mushrooms I never experienced panic attacks.
I have seen reports where mushrooms have shown to help cure OCD, and in certain instances panic disorders. Just be careful, and with 1.5g you should be fine, but check into what your anti-depressant is. If its an MAOI a 1.5 gram trip should be real nice.

hey man, make sure youre fanning and misting several times daily.
its important to keep that humidity up and fresh air is a MUST!!!

I made sure to ask if it was an inhibitor and it isnt.
Humidity is a condtant 99% reading and will flux some down to 90%. I've been fanning 6+ times a day for the past two days since of my current anxiety I taken off work.
On misting, is it safe to mist all the cakes even ones with loads of myc on them? If so hell I'll do it often every time I fan. I have notice it has cut the myc time from the cake to get out of the casing in half when i fan a lot.
Such an extreme and overwhelming yummy mushroom scent is amazing when I open the FC. I would eat them fresh but since its difficult to dose I'm doing them dry and my buddy will vomit if the aren't dry I just LOVE the taste. I just wish I could get things rolling faster than it has been going, but, knowing the amount I'm going to hopefully be harvesting still makes the wait so worth it. I just wish I had more as to have some for the 4th. seems like it would be killer watching the HUGE fireworks display my dad does each year. It so big random people start filling up the top two acres of our 10 acre total just to watch.
So fingers crossed.
Will there be a good distinction between both strains? I have them organized one on left and diff on right but more so mushroom shape/color etc...
Again, thanks for all the positive reenforcement guys it has been greatly appreciated. Just hearing that you guys think this cakes are damn near amazing is gratifying enough.

A friend of mine on meds for scitzophrenia took some and was not "high" but his mediocre high lasted for about a week he said.
As for RR, really how often do you use your shotgun FC?

True! - i also know from experience that psych meds and psilocin has different effects, be careful with maoi's...
