Thanx~ guys....
I do it by using two large prisms, and different lenses (not the lens on the camera) and glassy objects with a white back-screen.... Oh, and ....

very cool, very original. is there anything more you can do to push it a bit more? i wonder if it might be cool to scale those images, and then rescale them onto a larger canvas, and paint them. make them into something larger and more tangible.

Let the alky evaporate and you have DMT infused caapi leaves. Deemster doink is what happens when you smoke a fat bong rip of changa

I really like the first one a lot. Great detail on the glass - that's my favorite part. You should get more of the actual prisms, play with the edges and try to get some perspective shots of the prism up very close and the light patterns in the background, stuff like that.

Thanx~ man.... Every time I think of something different that "pushes it" a little further, I try it and post it.... I only have one room in my place that faces the sun's rays, and optimal sun time is between 10am and noonish..... After that time, the sun is to high to shine into my window in that room.... So, I am limited to the weekends (work), so, 4 hours a weekend **when** it is a blazing sunny day - and, I have to be up that early....
The pictures are 4000x3000 pixels, so scaling up wouldn't distort them to bad if you wanted to project onto a canvas for inspiration.... Not sure I have the time to tackle something like that right now.... I have just recently gotten back into drawing.... Good idea tho~....

Thanx~ man, that was my fav of the bunch too - that and the second tall one.... I have to figure out how I got the camera to focus on the glass like that next time.... Doing that also blurred the texture of the actual screen in that shot too.... I don't care for the texture, at all.... You would figure that a professional projector screen would be smooth, but it's not, and this camera picks up every little bit....
Getting the prisms into the picture WITH the projected colors might be a little tricky because they sit on the window sill, and there is no real way to get behind them (short of hovering outside my 2nd floor window).... They have to sit horizontal as opposed to vertical.... I modeled some makeshift adjustable holders, and I constantly have to adjust them when I do this to track the sun's movement.... The Prisma Schisma #1...:
For size reference, the visible part of the prism there is about 8".... I need to make them so that I can use a remote control to adjust em'.... THAT would be the shyt~....
When you stand in the prism's projected light and snap a shot, it shades that image with the one color coming thru the camera lens, but not much more.... You don't see any colors on or in the actual prism when light is coming thru it.... I could break out the Fog Hog to light up the actual beams of color in the air, but that really throws out a shitload of fog.... Some grey-hair in my apartment building would call the fire department on me for sure.....

Thanx~ man.... I sized them way down so I could upload them here - they are 4000x3000 pixels on my computer....
