 Photo's not allowed?

I've been trying to post photos a couple times now and I keep getting the following message:
"Sorry, you cannot upload this file.
Allowed files are adiou, video, archives, documents and torrents"
Allowed extensions: .7z .ac3 .avi .chm .doc .flac .flv .kmz .m4a .mov .mp3 .mp4 .mpeg .mpg .nzb .odt .ogg .pdf .pgp .psd .ra .rar .rm .torrent .txt .wav .wma .wmv .xpi .zip
Why can't we post jpg? It sucks having to link out to other sites like mycotopia when I'm trying to get advice from people here....

it let's me upload/post pics just fine. you are doing something wrong.

Click on the Pics link on the top left of your page, next to "home". There you find your gallery and the option to upload pics.
Using pics in a post should be done this way; not by attaching it as a file to a post.

People periodically get confused by this... I added a link to the image upload script under the list of allowed file extensions, so hopefully that will help a little.

Another issue is that at least the upload/attach a file thingy doesn't recognize capitalised extensions- at least it didn't in the past with pdf's.
So if you were uploading a file.PDF you'd get an error as not recognized format.

That shouldn't be the case, it specifically calls extension.toLowerCase() before comparing any text. Has this happened recently, or do you just remember it occurring sometime in the past? Anyway I'll try attaching a file to test it out.

Well, this was a few months ago when I had the problem. I had a file with an extension as either file.Pdf or file.PDF and it woudlnt' take. Then I changed the extension to lowercase and it would.
Interesting... maybe something changed? I guess it could be my fault too, but I don't think I changed anything but the case on the extension...

Well I'm sure you're recalling correctly, since I remember fixing this issue, but I thought it was a looong time ago though. But probably not actually so long if I'm retaining the memory in my THC-addled brain.
