I'd love to share some hunting pics from a recent expedition (more of an adventure...!) -
Firstly chased by stampeding cattle -

Random unidentified bracket-like fungi -

Crazy big Gyms (shame these aren't active here because I reckon I could have bagged about 50kgs in an hour! I've never seen so many.... ) -

A fairy garden of Laccarias (thanks Alan!) -

DEADLY gallerina - I can't believe just how similar these guys can look to subaeruginosa from above (be careful!) -

Subaeruginosa love -

The world's smallest Sub, and then a very chunky one -

Some scenery shots -

Bag love -

Thanks Alan! I will correct that. I don't suppose you can tell which ones from the photo? Are they worth targeting for edibility? There were literally thousands....

Just to make sure you have got them right cactu, they are 'subaeruginosa', not 'subbalteatus'.

I am pretty sure they are 'Gymnopilus junonius' - but I have yet to find one that stains whatsoever when I collect it. There has been lots of discussion between Aussie shroomers and so far the conclusion is that Aussie gyms are not active.

- thats pretty small! It would be hard to judge though without a decent scale. It's not often you hear people boasting "mine's smaller than your's"!

Do they taste like shit? I've been wanting to eat them for a while but I just can't come at it when there are subs all over the ground as well. But honestly, there are SO many at this spot so it could be worth it.
