Not really looking for an ID here, unless the amanita looks like an am. muscaria (if it does to you guys, i'll go dig it up and post the rest of the info) just sharing some nice pics. Both of these were just growing right out of the grass in my backyard again, also, I'm still finding more and more different russulas back there everyday, much like the ones I posted awhile back.

Your amanita doesn't look like muscaria. If it did though, a picture of the base of the mushroom that showed the bulb and any ornamentation, rings of veil tissue, would be needed to confirm the ID.
Really cool gills on the second mushroom.

The amanita may be another yellow blusher, but it seems a bit too big. Also, the 2nd pic is just one mushroom in the clump that they were growing in, but the angle makes it seem likes there is only one mushroom.

I thought it was a different kind of mushroom than the first.

It is, what I meant is that in the 2nd picture, you can only see one individual mushroom when in reality there were more of that species growing in a clump, but you can only see the one. It'd be a pretty fucked up mushroom if both pictures were of one mushroom.
