Has anyone been to the netherlands recently? I am going for the weekend on Thursday.
I'm going to spend the first day in Haarlem, then I'm headed to Amsterdam then I think I'll be in Rotterdam at some point during the weekend.
There are coffee shops in most major cities other than Amsterdam right?
It would be great if there were a coffee shop in Schiphol Airport.
Any other recommendations for me? Things and places to see and do.
I'm considering moving there next year, so some sincere recommendations would be great.
The mushroom ban hasn't taken effect yet right? I'd really like to do a tour of a real "shroomery" while there. Not planning to take any while there. I have plenty of access to them, so no need to partake just for the sake of doing it.
Also, if I decide to buy some cacti or kratom, do you think UK customs will give me shit for bringing them into the country?

Some sites have stopped selling magic mushrooms but I think you should still be able to get shrooms in most smart-shops.
It sucks they are going to ban shrooms here pretty soon. Will have to start growing some myself pretty soon.

The closest info on erowid about kratom mentions Ireland not UK

Sorry to revive an older thread, but I can't find any info anywhere about the actual current status of mushrooms in the Netherlands. Still available at the shops or not?

Yes! I was in a shop in Haarlem and they were plentiful, packaged in the fridge.
But, the ban is impending and the frustrated, but hopeful shop owner mentioned a shift to selling growing equipment. Basically selling the entire setup from spores to terrariums and humidifiers all in one. About the size of an A4 box.
I actually think its the way forward, except for the fact that people will now look to the streets and dealers. Not the way I would like for things to go, but thats life.
I saw a thread a few weeks back saying that pro-mushroom people gathering en masse to spread spores with water guns, innocculating pasture land and public places. Sounds good to me.

Forget about the ban, are you going to the NL with only one purpose, to get drugs?
Drugs are illegal in every country worldwide, whether there is a ban or not is of no consequence. Beans, acid, coke and opiates are illegal in NL but can be easily found unless you sit in your hotel room your entire trip and don't leave. The same will apply to shrooms after the "ban".

Yeah, but I can buy shrooms from a dealer on the street without flying to the netherlands. That's not the point.
