Never seen my mother beyond about age 1.
No idea what she looks, sounds, acts like.
Live with my aunt now.
I don't mind not knowing her at all.
But if I could go visit or heard from her I would.
I was going through a old old file cabinet a few weeks ago and found a letter from my mother when I had just moved in with my aunt.
It asked how I was, if my aunt would send pictures, that she loved me and couldn't fall asleep at night.
Just because you are put up for adoption, does not mean your parents or mother don't regret it or love you.
MEET HER.
At worst, nothing bad or good will happen.
Best, you could develop a lasting relationship of love and happiness.

I would meet her, and I would try not to hold resentments for what happened in the past...approach it with an open-mind...you can tell from there whether you ever want to talk to her again or not.

That's a pretty intense situation that only you can answer. I believe people can change and after 21 years, I'm sure she's thought long and hard about the past and what she's done to you. Maybe a visit would be a good thing for both of you.
If it were me, I'd probably do it, I never use the past against anyone, I use the past to help determine the types of decisions I make, but that about it. No regrets.

this is odd. Sent her an e-mail with a couple pics and she responded back very pressed on meeting me alone. She went on for about 5 sentences saying is it ok to meet alone, that's cool right....yada yada yada....
