Is it active?? Hehehe I?m just kidding!! It?s actively poisonous. But ain?t it a pretty one, never seen it before.

To tell you the truth I have no idea, I was hoping that some of the more advanced hunters could identify for me, i tried to get a picture of the underside of the mushroom but teh pictures came out like crap.

I know the quality sucks badly but what the hell...



It?s wierd, if you can?t see from the picture, the mushroom really did?nt have many gills, maybe 12 or so gills, and absolutely no presence of spore material.

I'm guessing Mycena of some sort... but then agian it wasn't growing from wood so Mr M is probably right.

I'll guess Marasmius siccus for this one. Your photo even looks a lot like the one in Mushrooms of Northeastern North America. A very pretty mushroom.
