been looking on google and can't find the penalties...
i live in ohio, my friend just got busted w/ 140 hits, she's in jail right now, dude she was w/ had 7 pounds of bud 3k cash and a gun altho i dont think that should affect her?
OMG i'm afraid to hear what u guys have to say i think it is gonna be really bad...

140 hits, is lsd with intent to deliever a schedule 1 substance, maybe a couple months of jail or up to 2 years. If she gets a good lawyer, she can probably get it down, and if she doesnt have a record, that would help a shit load

It is going to be bad. I wish I could give you a better answer, but there isn't one. On the Home page of this site you'll see an article where 10 people were arrested at a festival...I think like 5-8 of them got poss. with intent to deliver, and I doubt they had much more than her if any.
You could fight it, and say it was for personal use. But the 7pounds, and the gun messed that up. When you have all of that there is no way around it...You intended to sell to someone else. I use to be in a LSD ring, and some friends of mine got in alot of trouble...They had vials, and I think crystal as well so its a bit different.
I fortunately wasn't around anymore I quit messing around with it. I'll spare you how much trouble they got in, but its an ugly thing to face. LSD is one of the worst things to get caught trying to sell...I'll find you the penalties on it if you want, but I don't think you want to.

Presuming no confounding factors (school zone, continuing criminal enterprise, et cet), and only considering the lsd, not pot, gun, or whatever:
If she's convicted of possesion, 2-5 year sentence, no prison sentence is mandatory- buy their is a presumption of one by the law, and if she does get a prison sentence on that count, it would be a mandatory 2 year sentence.
If she's convicted of trafficking or aiding in trafficking she'll get a 2 year minimum, and up to five years.

This means that if convicted of trafficking she will get a two, 3, 4, or 5 year sentence, unfortunatly.
For possesion, if only counting LSD and presuming 1 hit equals 1 dose, she could get only probation, though there is a presumption against it, and no prison term. Does she have a record? If she gets prison for possesion, it would be a 2,3,4,5 years sentence, one of those.

nope.
2 year minimum for traficking, unfortunatly.
If she doesn't have a record she might be able to get possesion and get probation.
What is her record? How was she caught? Any legal issues w/ search/arrest?

i'm not sure of her prior offenses i think she might have a marijuana possession on there
she is a great person it's a shame she got busted the way she did, the cops got a domestic violence call and had probable cause to search due to the strong smell of weed in the air
pretty sure she got caught with gellies

Trafficking LSD (between 50-250 hits) is third degree felony in Ohio (unless it was near a school or juvenile).

The penalty for a third degree felony is 1-5 years (up the judge, or if there is a plea bargain he will go with the prosecutors recommendation).

Of course, the 1-5 figure is assuming that she is charged only with trafficking LSD. In cases like this, they usually are able to tack on multiple charges. For example she could probably also be charged with simple possesion of LSD which is also a third degree felony (if between 50-250 hits), in which case she would be looking at 2-10 if the sentences were to be served consecutively. It is likely, however that the prosecutor would drop the other charges if she agreed to plead to the trafficking charge.
This isn't as bad as it may seem for your friend. If convicted, she could easily have a sentence between one and five years (and probably get out early on parole).
BTW, google is you friend, I found this info in like five minutes.

oops, yeah, 1 year minimum for trafficking and for possesion (if impossed).
To the OP, its possible she'll get probation, but don't hope for it. She needs to figure out how to distance herself from the gun and the other guy. They'll probably try to get her to testify anyways, since he seems like the major player

how old is she? my friend got busted in ohio with 200 hits and got off with 3 months in juvie and 1 year probation. he was only 17 though at the time. it was his first conviction too.
