 Strange knotting on my Blue Oyster straw bag...*pics*

The bag is almost completely colonized; the baottom 1/5 is still uncolonized. They started knotting up like this about three days ago. I've never seen anything like it...
 
What do you guys think??
The knots are incredibly dense too...

That definetly crossed my mind since I used gorilla tape to seal them, maybe there's a small hole air is getting in to... 
I put 'em in the greenhouse a little earlier, I'm a little worried about the very bottom no being colonized though...either way it will be interesting to see what happens

thats fruiting bodies developing, or atleast their mycelium.

I didn't realize they would start knotting up with so much substrate uncolonized... I placed then in an incubator at around 80 for two days then thought that was probably a little on the warm side so I moved them to a box at room temp. I have the windows open at night so maybe the cool air was all they needed to induce fruiting.
When I first noticed it they were just over 50% done.

Did you ever fruit them to see what happened? I am finding this knotting in one of my grain jars of blue oyster so I am very curious to know what happened to your knots.
