Ore. Supreme Court rules moving marijuana illegal

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Helping a friend move a few plants to his new house can get you into trouble with the police, if they happen to be marijuana plants.
The Oregon Supreme Court ruled Friday that a man who helped his friend move things could be convicted on marijuana possession charges.
Thomas Fries argued he should be acquitted because he was acting at his friend's direction and just helping with the move when he loaded the plants in his SUV.
But the Supreme Court ruled unanimously that physical control of property is sufficient to prove actual possession.
The court noted there are exceptions in the law that permit people to possess marijuana in limited situations — but this was not one of them.

I'm sorry, but isn't that kind of obvious? I mean, I know it's a dumb law, like all the marijuana laws in this country, but did he really not expect to get in trouble?
If a cop pulls you over and finds marijuana plants in your SUV, I doubt saying "Oh, don't worry officer, I'm just helping my friend move into his new house!" is going to get you out of any trouble. I really can't believe that even made it to the supreme court.

Thinking about toking up is a serious felony and requires immediate treatment at a state facility.
Soon it will be illegal to even gaze at a cannabis plant without plucking out your eyes as the Bible and courts demand.
We must stop this God-given scourge!

What kind of idiot gets pulled over when moving pot plants? Everyone knows you drive careful as fuck and use your blinkers when you move something like that. @_@
