I just figured it out, I am firewaled by a router that I cannot get into cuz I dont have the code.
We just hooked it back up for my GF's daughter when she finally got a power cord for her laptop.

try default passwords people usually don't change them. I've gotten into so many neighbors routers before using default passwords. Linksys is usually admin or admin1234 you can google it. If you physical access to the router it actually has a reset button that will reset the password and all the settings.

Its the WEP code or something like that.
I have tried to google it and came up with nothing.
She has the code in her computer but I just have to find it in there cuz she wont have any clue what I'm talking about.

I thought you couldn't get internet access at all without the WEP code. It should be in the wireless settings somewhere though. There is a separate code to get into the routers settings once you have a connection. You type in the ip address of the router in your internet browser it asks for username and password username is usually left blank and password is usually admin and thats where you open up ports.

This computer isnt wireless, so I can connect.
She is super anal about shit like this so I am sure she changed the username and password to even get into the router.
I will ask her about it and get it set soon.
She isnt home much to ask so it might be a few days but I will get it.

Yeah she would probably get pissed if you reset the router and all her settings to get in it too. You can always just plug straight into the cable modem until then.

We were going into the modem up until the other day.
She got her power cord replaced and then I had to plug the router back in again.
