 Ipod worth it?

I have to take a 9 hour bus trip pretty soon as I was wondering do think an Ipod is worth paying for or should I get some other mp3 player.

I got my ipod three years ago and listen to it at least an hour a day every day. Most of the time I listen to it more.
Definitely worth it.

I don't know if any mp3 player is gonna suffice you for nine hours.
I do wish I had an iPod though.

Itunes sucks ass IMO. Most other MP3 players you can use any media player that will sync it, and are cheaper. I have heard of many Ipod batteries going out, and cost a ton to replace.

20 dollars is a ton to replace a battery?
I paid 20 bucks to get a battery with 50% more battery life and my current one was not even broken. Your argument fails.
Quit going off of what 'you heard' because your sources suck ass.

Well, iPod, and other Mac products, do have a reputation of having poor battery life (remember a few years ago when they had to send everyone a voucher for new iPod batteries.)
I use a Mac, and even before I did I liked iTunes, I don't know why people think it's so bad. (Well, now one complaint is they don't play .flac files.)

Yea itunes is awesome. It might hog a bit of CPU power, but I love being able to browse through all my albums by album cover. It gives me the feeling like I actually bought the CD.

Seriously, how incompetent do you have to be to fail at iTunes?
Nothing has an interface that competes with iPod, iTunes is sweet, and the people who bitch about it can't even tell you why they hate it, and if they can, it usually becomes clear that they're simply computer illiterate or merely regurgitating some anti Apple youtube vid and haven't ever used the program themselves.

Well I updated my battery for the hell of it. 
My headphone jack did fuck up but that was completely my fault so I bought a new one and installed it. ipods are pretty easy to fuck around with internally as well.
