sometimes i feel like pot is a waste of time, money, and health... and depending on what ive smoked the high can just make me feel shitty. my school's been going through a shitty outdoor leafy phase lately. every time i smoke this stuff i get a kind of headache and am just uncomfortable for awhile. unfortunately, i keep smoking it just to smoke it. wtf.?

Yeah, sounds like mild psychological addiction. A lot of people, myself included, get in the habit of smoking before bed, and after a few weeks it's ingrained and hard to snap out of without becoming a mild insomniac. I find that the high diminishes after a few weeks of daily use, so I take short breaks two or three times a month - maybe four or five days; it seems to work. keeping the dose low to medium for your tolerance works well for me too. I agree, it's unhealthy and a bit of a cash sink (depending, my current quarter's lasted me over three months so far). It's too bad that a good vaporizer is so damn expensive.

Just take a break for a while. I quit for the time being, but after being constantly high so long, it's a refreshing and fun change to be sober.

I figured that out three months ago. When KB went from 100 to 160 then 180 a 1/4oz... The Asshole fucker reason was because I have the money for a Roor bong, I should pay more.

Hell no. I smoked (free) weed for over a decade. When I moved, I shutdown all projects but carried a HP of personal across the country. It finally ran out a couple of months ago and me and the gf are jonesing.
Quitting weed was the worst decision of my life! Luckily I visit familt in Cali next week . . .

I felt like that with cigs about 2 years ago.
I felt that way with weed about 3 or 4 years ago.
I haven't smoked cigs since then, and have only smoked weed maybe once a year. When i was doing it everyday, i felt a lot like you but when you only smoke it occasionally its a very nice experience.
I also cut caffeine and sugar out of my diet, I guess you could say that I find value in sobriety.

well, I quit smoking cigarettes and I couldn't be happier about that. However, quitting weed has had virtually no positive effects for me, and several negative effects. Mind you, I only did 2-5 bong hits most days, in the evening only; of course on weekends me and the gf would smoke fat joints at the coast or downtown by the river. Regardless, I think herb gets a bad rap even among enthusiasts somtimes.
Oh and for the record I am an older "professional" that started smoking weed in 1982 , and I have smoked more days than not since then. Given my job requirements, I am pretty sure it hasn't diminished my intellect over all that time.

Like anything you put in your body, especially drugs that impact the mind, you have to understand that your experience with the drug isn't necessarily the same as others.
For example, Coaster is a college student with a relatively complex major, I am in a similar situation. However, Coaster easily works weed into his life despite how productive he has to be, me on the other hand, can't be a full time student and a pot head at the same time, the two just don't work for me.
The effects of MJ are generally similar person to person, but there are side effects, and they can be subtle. What's important is finding out what works for you as an individual.

i cant fall asleep or eat in the morning if I'm not high, the one time i stopped for four days in the last 6 years i was unsocial an extremal irritable, not to mention i couldnt eat more then a few bites

I feel like that every day. I can't use weed responsibly, when I have it I smoke through it as fast as possible. I've learned to buy it as little as possible because I know from repeated failure that I can't save it for a rainy day.
