Last week before birth, light or no light?

As the topic says, what is preferred?
Leave the jars out in the light for the last week after full colonisation, or just leave them in the dark?
Up to now I've been leaving them in their dark hidingplace until they were ready for birthing. After a dunk and roll they usually sit in my FCC for 7-10 days before pinning.
I was wondering if giving them light for that last week will cut down on that waiting period.
Your thoughts please!

There is absolutely NO reason to leave colonizing jars in the dark. The advice to do so in TMC is outdated and inaccurate. Paul doesn't repeat that mistake in GGMM. Birthing the cakes will drastically reduce the CO2 content, which is the number 1 pinning trigger. RR

Thanks for clearing that up RR!
I will move them out into the light then. Makes it easier for me to keep an eye on them too.
