Goodbye!
    #8401187 - 05/14/08 02:33 PM (3 months, 20 days ago)

I thought id post this here as im more mystically inclined, rather than philosophically, although philosophy if practiced fully would lead to the other.

The very notion of being a philosopher is to seek truth, yet many wish to seek no truth, so all i see is futility in words trying to express what i have awakened to, that which cant be expressed, except through living it itself.

So as much as i like staying & chatting, these words are useless now for me.
Silence is the only truth.

Heres an old Indian story of philosophy:

There was 2 men, one who was successful with women, the other not so,
the man who was not asked the other,

"How can you be so successful with women?"

He said remember 3 things to talk about:

1. Food, as women love food they are food for children, they simply love food as they are food, mother nature.

2. Family, as this will show you have honorable intentions towards her.

3. Philosophy, as this will make her feel smart. (These are old Indians!)

So the poor lonely man went on his first ever date with a beautiful woman, first he asked her:

"do you like noodles!?"

She was baffled! What a question!?

"NO!?" she replied

He then asked straight away,

"do you have a brother!?"

Again baffled she replied

"NO!?"

He then asked.

"If you had a brother would he like noodles!?"

This is philosophy! Simply going nowhere...

Ultimately...we ask the questions...
Why why why, who who who, how how how, yet really seeking no true answer, or ever finding a true answer, as no answer, nor word, can ever be satisfactory.
Simply turn that who back inside, follow the feeling of where questioning who leads you, and you'll find it all.

All i wish to say is,

Enquire relentlessly into who & what you are & devote this Self to what you naturally love.

There is nothing wrong with anything, the cosmos is perfection, just as you are is beautiful enough.

Awaken to inner peace, being loving, & en-joying life.

Emptiness is the key to who you truly are, before all.

If what you awakened to just started one day then it will just end the next. True awakening is not in the mind, it is superlative to mind. Just having some thoughts about oneself that many others agree is the way an awakened person should think is just having some awakened type thoughts. However the entire person has not awakened.

Real awakening is not just some thought or series of thoughts. Rather it is innate understanding through experience of ones unchanging absolute nature as an observer free forever from all relative bondages.

Having had some intercourse with a few teachers and learning their words is not awakening.

Otherwise you would have some hair on your balls and a few words to the contrary of your awakening wouldn't send you running.

A truely awakened individual probably doesn't even discuss it. Since they are no better nor worse than the next guy or gal. And, even the awakened fall back to sleep. What one wants is not awakening but total and final liberation from bondage.

Even using the word awakening is fucking trendy though. So go back to sleep. Go back to sleep. You're not ready to be awakened yet. Not so long as you view it like some badge to wear or subject somehow separate from all other things. Real permanent awakening is more often than not a truely horrendous process of being stripped naked in front of the world until one simply cannot hide from themself any longer.

It's not a state to brag about any more than being naked is. One is simply themself then without anything to hide or hide behind. It's often rather ugly rather than beautiful. However, the truth to it is beautiful due to being honest and simple.

Just like that, but figuratively speaking. Like committing material suicide so that one can no longer hide behind artificial and external clothing and say, "I am a...." One is no longer anything exactly, but in the lack of being anything specific one find that they can be anything. One is free. One has arrived home. But permanently.

The downside is that one no longer identities with this or that and so also one cannot any longer believe in shallow boundaries and so one has left the societal game of have and have not.

The liberated thus are outcastes.

All these Moojis and Papajis are just tools for the rich for self masturbating their societal consciences. They were guilty about their 'I-ness' and now they have become more comfortable with a 'not-I-ness.'

Real liberation depends upon no other person and no system.

I agree with you chronic. Being and feeling are what give life substance. Arguing and trying to prove points is just struggle.

the problems people have with your posts, which may have lead to your decision to leave, comes from the way you word your posts, not from the message you wish to convey. your posts are worded in an authoritative and dictating way. we are told to do this or that, making it appear as though you have already attained all that you speak of whereas we have not. this may not be your intention, but it is this which causes the dualistic arguments that take place so often around here (although it can be amusing).

speak for us all, including yourself, because we ALL have much to learn and none of us know more than the other.

Catalysts to say what has never been said, to see what has never been seen. To draw, paint, sing, sculpt, dance and act what has never before been done. To push the envelope of creativity and language. And whats really important is, I call it, the felt presence of direct experience. Which is a fancy term which just simply means we have to stop consuming our culture. We have to create culture. Don't watch TV, don't read magazines, don't even listen to NPR. Create your own roadshow. The nexus of space and time, where you are now, is the most immediate sector of your universe. And if you're worrying about Michael Jackson or Bill Clinton or somebody else, you are disempowered. You are giving it all away to icons. Icons which are maintained by an electronic media, so that you want to dress like X or have lips like Y. This is shit-brained this kind of thinking. That is all cultural diversion. And what is real is you and your friends, your associations, your highs, your orgasms, your hopes, your plans, and your fears. And we are told no. We're unimportant, we're peripheral, get a degree, get a job, get a this, get a that, and then you're a player. You don't even want to play in that game. You want to reclaim your mind and get it out of the hands of the cultural engineers who want to turn you into a half-baked moron consuming all this trash that's being manufactured out of the bones of a dying world. Where is that at? -Terence
