You didn't even listen to me did you? They show their ignorance by their ACTIONS, not by how much they know. Beleive me, college doesn't make people automatically make all right decisions in life.
As for the second argument, you totally misunderstood him, by humans, he was stating I think that by killing people (insurgents/soldiers), they automatically became murderers by definition, and anyone helping them are accesories. Since he neither killed them nor helped those who did, he is not an accesory.

We bombed the fuck out of Japan in order to save millions of American lives. Lives were to be lost no matter what. Better them than us.
Oh, and it would have come to the mainlands. Japan almost didn't give up after bomb #2. They would have fought here and fought hard to the death.

How many Kurdish men, women, and children did that sick fuck Saddam slaughter with chemical weapons etc? I forgot the exact number but it was a lot. On top of that we had information that he was trying to acquire nuclear weapons... is that somebody you'd trust with that kind of power?  With that being said I don't agree with the way we've gone about handling the situation but I do believe that he deserved to die.

If that were true, if we attacked because we are the benevolent saviors of the East, then we would have jumped in much earlier when Japan was raping Manchuria in the 30s or so, so we were a little late.
We jumped in when we did because we saw an opportunity to expand our holdings with a maximum of international support.
China wasn't our ally until it was convenient for us to use them as an excuse to build up our Pacific fleet.

Because we are a pack of dogs and have to stick together. Would you want your own kind dying if you could easily save them by killing the others?
If the war was brought to close combat instead, many more would have died than just those in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The totals would be much more than those places combined.
