 Hamilton Co. police see spike in LSD cases

A growing trend of teens using and selling LSD has Hamilton County authorities on alert and parents very concerned.
The drug in question is also called acid. Members of the Hamilton/Boone County Drug Task Force said it's coming straight from Chicago and into the hands and mouths of teens in Hamilton County.
The latest incident follows a two month investigation of a Fishers teen who claimed to be an LSD dealer.
Authorities said they set up an undercover drug buy with the teen at Brooks School Road and 116th Street. He was arrested on the spot.
According to police, the 17-year-old sold about 20 hits of acid. They were fake but he still faces felony charges.
"From what we understand, he has sold to other kids in the area of Fishers," said Major Lee Goodman.
The task force reports 12 separate LSD cases in the past year. The year before there were zero.
"A lot of it's coming from the Chicago area and I think that a lot of that coming from Chicago is coming from Canada," said Major Goodman.
Parents who spoke to 24-Hour News 8 were stunned.
"We're a clean county and it's unexpected. At the same time, kids do things and so at some point I think every parent has to deal with that," said Hamilton County parent, Dory Ferland.
Authorities said the teen arrested is a senior at Hamilton Southeastern. They don't think he was dealing on school grounds but he was selling to other students.

the problems will arrive 30 years later when an acid user pops his spine and starts bleeding blood from his ears. of course by then all drugs are removed from society so no problems after those LSD freaks die from deadly flashbacks.

Hahah... as if some shithead cops that are shocked to see "LSD" would be able to distinguish the difference between real LSD or some other chemical.

Seriously, if it wasn't real shouldn't the kid just be charged with selling little strips of paper he so-called LSD? I didn't know little squares of paper was an illegal substance worthy of a felony offense  .
