went all the way to bellevue/seattlish washington to this place called the highland skateplaza just to check it out with a friend cuz it opened up less than a month ago. So were just skating there and shit doin our thing and then all kinds of like staff looking people setting up royal bluish tarps started showing up and I asked a local what was going on and he said there was a demo happening today with the nike flow team. I figure ok thats tight. so I'm like hell yea I come to check this place out on the perfect day!
So I me and my boy go get some grub for the food box of ours and come back to see like 250-30 people circled around it and I'm just like nice I'm amped for this. Then this comentator guy gets on the mic and starts announcing that skaters from manik and nike flow team are going to start the demo and PAUL RODRIGUEZ was there and going to get down!  btw for those who dont know P ROD, hes a fucking raw ass pro skater that won a X-Games best trick and street contest and hes won S.K.A.T.E contest and has skated with the best in the world. Anyway he starts tearing shit up and whatnot along with all the other AMs and a few other pros who I can't remember the names of and I even got to touch his hand as he rode by this one time clapping peoples hands! I was hella happy man it was great. 
There was also raffle prizes there( which I didn't win any damnit) and a best trick contest on a nice manuel pad and a rail. SOme sick ass tricks landed on the manuel pad were nollie hardflip to manuel to front 180 out, inward heel to nosemauel out, nollie front shu to nose manuel to nollie 360 shuv out, switch tre to switch manuel and nose manuel etc etc. it was fucking flithy as hell! it inspired me to skate so much more and get alot better cuz seeing those guys do that shit, like 90% of it I can't even do just amazes me.
on the rail people landed hurricane grid 180 out, back big spin to front bluntslide, backside flip to back tail to back big spin out, switch heel to SWITCH 5-0 out, backside flip to front blunt etc etc.
there were like 14 and 15 year olds there like crazy better than me to and man...i could go on and on and on the skaters there were fucking absurd i never saw anything like it in real life in my life.
today was a fucking dope ass memorable day!
btw, Im gonna trip on 2 grams of smoe saved fall psi. cyans tonight  and listen to the new roots album RISING DOWN!!!!!!!!!

Nice to see there's good skate parks/warehouses around the area now. Back in the late '90s, we were chased out of every fucking school, office complex, and loading dock we tried to skate.
Now there's like 3 parks on my way to work.

Damn that sounds sick, we had a girl demo and there was all the pros there.even Eric Koston, I missed that though but I did go to a toy machine and fallen demo. The fallen demo was the best one. Also there was an emerica demo that everyone said was sick.

P-rod is like a machine, he'll do anything with the most steez. theres some good dudes on nike but i don't like what nike is doing to skating (their video, nothing but the truth, was horribly made but really good skating.)
glad to hear your skate scene is kicking though. theres a lot of good heads on the east coast. btw, what kind of rail are we talking about here because those tricks are a little on the crazy side.

What did he win the best trick contest with?
That was always my favorite category. I guess it comes from growing up playing THPS and not understanding the true beauty of skating.

the rail was going down a long 8 stair rail, and yeah man these tricks were utterly absurd I was wondering myself why alot of these AMs weren't pros.
But P-ROD left the skate plaza right after the demo and signing autographs so he wasen't in either of the tricks contest, they were mostly AMs, but i'm sure tehre were a few pros in them, whos names I either didn't know or can't remember
!!!!!!!!!!
I forgot to tell you guys!
Just before leaving a guy announced over the intercom that next week, on may 25, skaters like Eric Koston, Brian Anderson, Mike Carrol, and Rick McCrank are coming back to the Skate Plaza in Bellevue for another demo!!
