You are right. I was using science in a broad definition, in an attempt at humor over "chief greenleafs" comment "spirituality is science". Questions of the spirit are a part of metaphysics, so is cosmology. Most of the ideas talked about in this forum are metaphysical.

Sorry if I upset some people with my comment "spirituality is science". All I meant was that what was before considered hocus pocus magical spirits and the like can now be looked at in terms of actual physical phenomenon that CAN be tested. Did anyone watch the videos?

I watched it. Fascinating, and it presents an interesting theory. However, all he has done is muddy the currently accepted paradigms. He even states that he's postulating. Current understandings of the brain functions may be wrong, but the alternative explanation isn't backed up with any facts, or science.
I LIKE his postulations, but it's not really striking me as scientific fact.

Spirituality is PSEUDOscience would be more accurate. Rahz really hit the nail right on the head.
Collective consciousness, love/fear DNA activation, intelligent design, bio energy fields, chakras/ Jungian psychology, yadda yadda = nonsense based on preconceptions that dreamers are trying to carefully weave into scientific fact.

You're basically agreeing with me.
I'm taking a reasonable view of both the lows and highs. The goal of self improvement is to harness our potential, but it cannot make us more spiritual. A baby is just as spiritual as anyone else. I'm not downing spirituality, but I don't think it needs to be used as a statement of division. People may improve, but they don't become more spiritual.
