What is the political tie-in here?
So there are some over-enthusiastic cops in the Albany sheriff's department. This signifies.... what? That the New York State legislature needs to draft new legislation or modify existing legislation? That the sheriff should be impeached and a new one elected?
What is the political aspect we should be discussing, in other words?

The cops around here actually seem nicer and more professional than they were in the late 80's - early 90's.
