oyster update *about to harvest*

I'm still trying to tweak my greenhouse. I've got a bag of perlite in the tub it's sitting in and a cool mist running for 30 min every 2 hours. The Rh is around 96% when the cool mist is not running and it drops to about 90 when it is. My blue oysters are pinning nicely but I was wondering what the desired RH is at this stage. I was also thinking I should drop it to around 80-85% in another 12 hours or so.
Also I think their still a little deprived of fresh air, what do you think?

the substrate need high RH and the fruits lots of 02; thats why oysters grow in plastics bags; the fruits emerge trough the holes and the bag mantai humidity. i thing the humidity is OK but give them lots of fresh air

Ya, I know they need lots of fresh air. You don't think a coolmist running all the time should provide enough FAE for a small, 3 tier green house.

The bag wasn't filled all the way to the top, there was about 4 inches of head space which is as you can see where they started to pin the most. I didn't cut the bag until after I saw it starting to knot up.
Should I cut holes in it before I see knots?

what i do is wait until full colonized. then transfer the block to another bag, a plastic supermarket bag, that fit loosely the block, cut holes and put outdoors. the pinning starts surrounding the holes, not in the exactly hole. this tek works OK for me and save the mycobag for another time.

They have too much CO2, you need FAR more air exchange!

Think I should cut some slits in the greenhouse?
The other thing I was thinking was the tub that it's sitting in comes up about 3 inches from the bottom of the greenhouse, do you think the c02 is building up too much in the bottom? I have the bag sitting on the top shelf though....

Anno is right about the FAE- I had problem with oysters when I first started to grow them. They looked similar to yours. I'd worry less about humidity than FAE. I fruit oysters in pans open to the air in my house (until they start sporulating- I try to harvest before that, but you know how it is). Try a higher setting for air flow or leave an opening in the greenhouse.
Cut holes in bags before you see knots. The knots are primordia forming and that means the oyster chooses where to fruit. If you cut the holes after complete colonization but before knotting *(pinning), you'll be able to select where it spends its efforts in producing mushrooms. They will be more uniform and larger. (and the holes don't need to be very big- the mushies will grow out or push the plastic open as needed.)
BTW, nice choice for a home-brew substrate.

Wow, those turned out bigger and more uniform than I would have expected. You can't be doing a whole lot wrong if they look like that. Nice flush!
